Raleigh-Durham International Airport will welcome two new nonstop international routes in February 2025, adding Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, to its list of destinations.
The routes, operated by Avelo Airlines, will expand RDU’s international offerings to 14 destinations.
Avelo will launch seasonal service to both destinations on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from mid-November through September.
The Montego Bay route will begin on Feb. 12, 2025, followed by the Punta Cana route on Feb. 22, 2025. Both routes will offer 149 seats in an all-economy configuration and have an estimated flight time of approximately three hours.
Avelo is among seven airlines that began or announced new international service at RDU in 2024, joining Aeromexico (Mexico City); Air Canada (Vancouver); BermudAir (Bermuda); Copa Airlines (Panama City); Lufthansa (Frankfurt, Germany); and WestJet (Calgary, Canada).
