Durham’s Department of Water Management will close its cashiering offices at City Hall and the Mist Lake Facility on Aug. 8 and 9 in preparation for Tropical Storm Debby.
Both locations will resume normal business operations on Monday, Aug. 12.
The city accepts payment online and by phone at no additional cost. Residents may pay by clicking the “pay water bill” icon on the city’s website or by calling 919-650-1200 and selecting option #1.
The department also said that it would discontinue shutting off water services for nonpayment until Aug. 12.
