County commissioners to meet July 8

The Durham County Board of Commissioners will hold a regular session meeting on Monday, July 8, at 7 p.m.

The public is welcome to attend the meeting in person or virtually. A limited number of seats are available, and residents can attend via Zoom.

Three public hearings are on the agenda: issuance of $40 million in revenue bonds by Research Triangle Institute and consideration of performance-based awards for Project High Power and Project Foundry.   

Those wishing to speak during a public hearing must sign up prior to the start of the meeting and provide their full name and address to the board clerk.

Speakers who wish to comment via Zoom must provide their full name and address to the board clerk at or 919-560-0025 by 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 7.

The meeting can also be watched live on the Durham Television Network (DTN), on the Durham County website or on the county’s YouTube channel. Recordings of previous meetings are available at each site as well.

The commissioners will meet in closed session prior to the regular session meeting, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
