Eno River Association unveils 10-year conservation plan

The Eno River Association has developed a 10-year Strategic Conservation Plan to protect the Eno and Little River watersheds from urban development, population growth and climate change, the group announced.

The plan identifies 574 parcels of land, totaling more than 15,000 acres, as top priorities for future conservation. These parcels include areas with ecological and recreational potential or cultural and historical significance and those that would provide under-resourced and socially vulnerable communities with flood mitigation and enhanced resilience.

The association conducted a year-long process to develop the plan, including an assessment and review of existing plans and community engagement efforts.

More information about the plan is available on the association’s website.
