Durham Public Schools will host a series of information sessions for parents and families to discuss the secondary school portion of the “Growing Together” redistricting plan.
Sessions will take place from Oct. 28 through Nov. 18 and will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in each of the district’s Growing Together regions.
The Growing Together initiative is a school redistricting plan that went into effect for primary schools in the current school year. Changes will begin for secondary schools in 2025-2026.
The following information sessions are scheduled:
- Oct. 28, East Region: Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, 800 Clayton Rd.
- Nov. 4, Southwest: Jordan High School, 6806 Garrett Rd.
- Nov. 6, Central Region: Brogden Middle School, 1001 Leon St.
- Nov. 13, Southeast Region: Hillside High School, 3727 Fayetteville St.
- Nov. 18, North Region: Northern High School, 4622 N. Roxboro Rd.
These regional sessions are being held in advance of the district’s annual Showcase of Schools, which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
