Cheeni, a local restaurant known for its contemporary take on regional Indian cuisine, announced plans to establish a second, full-service location in Research Triangle Park.
The restaurant, owned by two-time James Beard Award semifinalist Preeti Waas, will open in late 2025 at Horseshoe at Hub RTP, a mixed-use development in RTP.
Cheeni opened a downtown Durham location in 2023, located at 202 Corcoran St. Waas previously operated a restaurant in Raleigh, Cheeni Indian Food Emporium.
The new location will cover more than 3,000 square feet on the ground level of the Horseshoe project. Cheeni is the project’s first retail tenant.
