Book Harvest, a local non-profit that works to improve children’s literacy, will host its annual Summer Block Party on Saturday, July 13 at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
This free event will include family activities and entertainment, with free books for children to take home.
More than 30 local personalities and civic entities are expected to attend, including The Poetry Fox, Wool E. Bull, Happy Dan the Magic Man, and representatives from the Morehead Planetarium & Science Center, The Bull City Woodshop and Bike Durham.
The event is open to all ages and will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The first 300 attendees will receive $5 for concessions.
