Life science academy for Durham youth

Made in Durham, a nonprofit that aims to create career opportunities for young people in Durham, is accepting applications for the next cohort of its BULLS Life Science Academy.

The program offers young adults a chance to gain the skills and experience needed for careers in the life sciences industry.

The BULLS Academy is a partnership with Durham Technical Community College. Accepted applicants will complete a 5-month biomanufacturing program at Durham Tech.

The program is fully funded, including a tuition and stipend, and job interviews are guaranteed for all academy graduates. Applicants must reside in Durham County, be 18 to 25 years old and have a high school diploma or high school equivalency.

The next cohort of the program will run from Jan. 17 to May 16, 2025. Interested applicants must attend an info session to apply. The next info session will be held on Nov. 6 at 12 p.m. via Zoom.

Applications are due by Nov. 24. More information on the academy is available on Made in Durham’s website.
