Discover Durham launches interactive “Love Durham” exhibits across county

Discover Durham and Downtown Durham, Inc. are launching a series of interactive and visual exhibits across the county as part of their ongoing “Love Durham” campaign.

The initiative, launched in December, aims to encourage residents and visitors to support local businesses.

Interactive exhibits will launch Friday, Jan. 17, during Durham’s Third Friday art walk. Participants can visit the Carolina Theatre to experience “Love in Full Light,” write a love note at the Visitor Information Center, explore “The Art of Loving Local” at the Durham Arts Council, leave their mark at American Tobacco Campus’ “Love Lock Lane” and engage with other interactive displays at the Museum of Life and Science and the Scrap Exchange.

A launch party will be held at the Visitor Information Center, 212 West Main St., #101, on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., offering attendees a chance to learn more about the campaign and enjoy mocktails from participating businesses.

Participants are encouraged to download the Discover Durham app to check in at each participating location and complete the “Love Durham Challenge” for a chance to win prizes.

More information about the campaign is available online.
