Board of Elections announces 2025 municipal election dates

The Durham County Board of Elections has announced key dates for the 2025 municipal primary and general election, which will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 7, and Tuesday, Nov. 4, respectively.

Registered voters residing in Durham County can cast their ballots by mail, early voting or in person at their designated polling places.

The candidate filing period begins on July 7. Filing will take place at the Board of Elections office, 3825 S. Roxboro St., Suite 101. Information about filing fees is available on the board’s website.

On election days, polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
