The Durham Performing Arts Center has been recognized as one of the nation’s top theaters in 2024, according to year-end rankings published by three leading entertainment industry publications: VenuesNow, Billboard and Pollstar.
DPAC secured the #2 spot in VenuesNow’s attendance-based ranking and was placed #3 in Billboard’s ranking based on ticket revenue. Pollstar, which publishes separate rankings for attendance and revenue, positioned DPAC at #4 in attendance and #6 in ticket revenue.
Since 2010, DPAC has been ranked among the top five theaters in the U.S. 11 times and among the top ten 15 times, according to a DPAC news release.
DPAC welcomed 500,000 guests to more than 200 performances in 2024.
DPAC, owned by the City of Durham and operated by Nederlander and Professional Facilities Management, celebrated its 16th anniversary in 2024. Since its opening in 2008, the venue has accommodated over 6.5 million guests at more than 3,000 performances.
