Durham County residents are invited to share their dreams for a better community as part of the annual “I Dream of a Durham Where…” community poem to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The poem, organized by Kids Voting Durham and the Durham Cooperative Extension, will be unveiled on Monday, Jan. 20.
The community is encouraged to submit their dreams for Durham by Friday, Jan. 17. Submissions can be made online.
The project welcomes contributions from people of all ages. Last year, more than 100 Durham residents, including many under 18, participated. Past contributors spanned ages 4 to 94.
