A new center is opening in Durham to help parents find resources for their children who may be experiencing social, emotional or behavioral challenges.
The Durham County Resources for Youth Success & Empowerment Assessment Center will have its soft opening today at 2432 Broad St.
The center, which is free, will connect youth and their families to resources in Durham County.
During the soft opening, staff will offer screening and referral services but will not offer ongoing case management.
The center will be open for walk-in hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is available to youth ages 10 to 17 and their families. Spanish language services are available.
