Wide range of electronics accepted at RTP recycling event

Residents can safely dispose of used or broken electronics at the annual Research Triangle Park Electronics Recycling Day on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

The event is hosted by RTP and Kramden Institute, a nonprofit that provides technology and training to underserved communities. It will take place in the parking lot at 300 Park Offices Drive.

A wide range of electronic devices are accepted, including desktop and laptop computers, LCD monitors, peripherals, servers, enterprise networking equipment, tablets and cellphones. 

Some items cannot be accepted, such as CRT monitors, stereo speakers, televisions, household appliances, printers, consumer electronics, scanners, lamps, bulbs, shredders and household hazardous waste will not be accepted.

A donation form is required for all items.
