Durham Public Schools will host a Showcase of Schools on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at North Carolina Central University’s Student Center, 500 Nelson St.
The event will offer families the opportunity to learn about options available within the district, including neighborhood, zoned schools and application options.
Representatives from all DPS schools will be present to provide information and answer questions. Attendees can explore options such as year-round, Montessori, International Baccalaureate and Dual-Language Immersion programs.
The showcase will also include representatives from specialty high schools, early colleges and career and technical programs.
DPS staff from various departments, including the Office of Student Assignment, Advanced Academics, Exceptional Children Services and Student Support Services, will also be available to assist families.
Attendees can expect student performances from DPS arts programs and free books for all children in attendance, provided by Book Harvest.
