Grammy and Pulitzer-winning artist Rhiannon Giddens is bringing a new festival to Durham, NC this spring.
Biscuits & Banjos, a celebration of Black music, art and culture, will take place April 25 to 27, 2025, at various locations downtown, including the Durham Performing Arts Center, The Armory and the Carolina Theatre.
The festival will feature musical performances as well as lectures, workshops and readings.
Biscuits & Banjos pays tribute to the 20th anniversary of the Black Banjo Gathering, a musical summit in Boone that led to the formation of the Grammy-winning Carolina Chocolate Drops, which launched Giddens’ career.
Weekend passes for Biscuits & Banjos are $218, while Saturday-only passes are $132.
More information is available on the festival’s website.
