City hosting community conversations with residents to shape future budget

The City of Durham is inviting residents to share their funding priorities for the upcoming fiscal year during a series of community conversations this fall.

The city’s Budget and Management Services Department will host seven events in October and November designed to gather feedback to shape the city’s budget for the next fiscal year.

The department says it will present insights from these conversations to the City Council during their budget retreats in February.

Residents are encouraged to pre-register. Attendees aged 16 and over will be eligible to receive a $50 gift card, and all participants will be provided with food and beverage, on-site childcare and Spanish interpretation services.

More information and registration is available on the city’s website.
