Homecoming and Pride parade to cause traffic closures around Duke

Expect traffic closures and congestion around Duke University’s East and West campuses because of Saturday’s homecoming football game and Sunday’s Pride parade.

Duke faces rival UNC-Chapel Hill at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium for its homecoming football game at 4 p.m.

Vehicular access to the West Campus will be limited to permit holders only. General public parking will be available in designated areas of the Graduate Center, H Lot, Research Drive Garage, Circuit Lot, and Parking Garage 1. Shuttles will run regularly between these areas and the Abele Quad bus stop.

On Sunday during the Pride parade, delays and congestion are possible around East Campus. The parade, which begins at 11 a.m., will require temporary closures of parts of Trinity Avenue, Main Street, Broad Street, Knox Street, and Ninth Street. The event will also include a Community Kickback celebration on East Campus from 1 to 4 p.m.
