Youth Mentoring Alliance to host adult listening sessions

The Durham Office on Youth and the Youth Mentoring Collaborative are working to create an alliance in Durham to facilitate new mentoring partnerships, connections and engagement opportunities for young people.

The team will design an action plan for creating a Youth Mentoring Alliance and hopes to present the plan in October.

As part of the process, the Office on Youth and Youth Mentoring Collaborative will host a series of listening sessions with adult mentoring providers. Practitioners and parents or caregivers also are invited to participate.

The team will host two in-person sessions on Sept. 12 and 19 and one virtual session on Sept. 17. Meals will be provided for in-person sessions and participants will receive a $25 gift card.

More information about the Youth Mentoring Alliance and registration for the listening sessions is available online.
