A portion of the Duke Park dog park, at 1608 Acadia St., is closed due to a water line leak, the city’s parks and recreation department said in a release.
The PetSafe Dog Park features two separate enclosed areas: one for small dogs, 15 inches or smaller and 30 pounds or under, and the other for large dogs, 15 inches and taller and 30 pounds and over. Only the large dog area is affected by the closure.
All dogs using city recreation facilities must be registered annually with Durham Parks and Recreation. Information on registration is available on the department’s website.
A reopening timeline is not yet available, according to the department. Updates will be provided on the parks and recreation website.
