The Carolina Theatre of Durham will host the 29th annual OUTSOUTH Queer Film Festival from Aug. 8-15.
OUTSOUTH began in 1995 as “A Salute to Pride” and ran from 1996-2019 as the North Carolina Gay + Lesbian Film Festival before being renamed OUTSOUTH. The festival showcases worldwide LGBTQ+ life through shorts, documentaries and feature films.
This year’s festival, themed “Friends, Family and Community,” will showcase 9 feature films and 98 short films from 13 countries.
Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the box office. Individual tickets are $15 and 10-passes are $120.
