The Durham Emergency Communications Center is soliciting public comment as it seeks its fifth accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.
Residents can provide feedback through a portal on the agency’s website, which opens for comments on June 14.
Being accredited by CAELA is a voluntary process that Durham has participated in since 2009. The process requires demonstrating compliance with more than 207 strict quality and business standards.
Residents may also mail written comments to CALEA, 13575 Heathcote Boulevard, Suite 320, Gainesville, VA 20155.
