An Innovate Durham Demo Day on June 13 will showcase four startup companies that have recently completed successful tests of their new technologies with the city and county.
Innovate Durham is a public-private partnership that allows startups and entrepreneurs to use local resources to test new ideas, products and services. The program offers access to government data, staff and facilities to help entrepreneurs make their products and services successful.
The Demo Day will feature an open house with networking opportunities, starting at 6 p.m. at the Hayti Heritage Center. The event will allow attendees to learn more about the Innovate Durham program and the impact it has had on the four participating startups: Laughing Monitos, Digital Brilliance Hour, SKLLD and MyMatR.
Each startup was selected to participate to enhance their skills and knowledge in science, technology, engineering, entrepreneurship, arts and mathematics.
