Dare Coulter, an award-winning artist, muralist and sculptor, has completed designs for a new public art installation at Wheels Roller Skating Rink.
The artwork features a variety of designs that celebrate the history of the rink and its meaning to the Durham community.
Residents are invited to meet with Coulter and share their feedback on the completed artwork during a public Zoom meeting on June 4, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The Wheels Roller Skating Rink, formerly known as Wheels Fun Park, is located at 715 N Hoover Rd. in Durham. The city is working with Durham Parks and Recreation on the renovation of the rink, which is expected to be completed this summer.
