Durham County will join over 40 other city, town, and county employers at the first-ever Local Government Career Expo.
The event will be held on June 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the North Carolina State University McKimmon Center located at 1101 Gorman St. in Raleigh. The career expo will allow job seekers to have conversations with representatives from different local government departments about different career opportunities.
Some of the local government jobs that will be available at the expo include public safety, business, health sciences, transportation, arts, communications, and hospitality. Attendees will also learn about the mission and purpose of local government careers.
All participants who register for the event in advance will be entered into a prize drawing. The prizes include a Fitbit, Apple Watch, Ray-Ban, or Oakley sunglasses.
