Durham’s Cultural Advisory Board is seeking candidates to serve as the city’s Poet Laureate, an ambassador to promote public appreciation of poetry and literature.

To be eligible for the position, applicants must have published works and a demonstrated commitment to promoting awareness of poetry. Awardees will receive a $15,000 stipend and work with the city on a term limit of August 30, 2024 to June 30, 2027.
