Instead of traditional profiles, we decided to use a short video format to learn about the Ward 1 candidates for City Council. We invited the candidates to answer this question: What’s one thing Durham should do better or differently?
Four of the six candidates accepted our invitation — incumbent DeDreana Freeman and challengers Matt Kopac, Andrea Cazales and Elijah King.
The wrinkle: They each had only 30 seconds to answer.
