DPS seeks input on school improvement plans

Durham Public Schools is asking for community feedback on the improvement plan for each of its schools.

School improvement plans are developed by each school to address specific needs and goals. These plans are reviewed and approved by the DPS Board of Education every two years and amended periodically to reflect each school’s efforts toward meeting goals.

DPS uses NCStar, a web-based tool, to post, track and link to their school improvement plans. Information about accessing the plans is available on the district’s website.

The district is conducting a survey about the plans to gather community input. The survey will be open until Nov. 15.
