Reflections: At a traffic stop, firsthand lessons on policing and race

When 9th Street Journal reporter Charlotte Kramon glanced up at her rearview mirror recently and saw flashing blue lights, it got her attention. She’d never experienced a traffic stop before — had never been pulled. Her friend in the passenger seat, who is Black, had a different vantage point on it all. Charlotte Kramon shares her thoughts on the experience in a new essay for our Reflections series.

Reflections is funded by a generous grant from The Purpose Project.
