“The Best of Enemies,” a new movie about Durham’s struggle with school desegregation, looks like a powerful film. It’s based on a successful book and play and it has some big stars. But this important story about Durham wasn’t filmed here.
It was filmed in Georgia, where a variety of locations acted as stand-ins for Durham of the early 1970s.
Reporter Taylor Plett looked into the reasons for the location shooting in this report.
