The City Council is set to vote on the proposed budget for the next fiscal year at its meeting at 7 p.m. tonight, according to a release from the city.

After City Manager Wanda Page presented her recommended budget on May 20, the council held work sessions on May 29 and 30 and a public hearing on June 3. The full video of the council discussions is available on the city’s YouTube channel

The proposed budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year can be reviewed on the city’s Budget and Management Services Department website.

The 10th Street Journal previously reported that the proposed budget incorporates a property tax rate hike of 3.85 cents to 59.62 cents per $100 of assessed value to align city employees’ salaries with prevailing market rates and allocates $232.1 million for capital improvement projects.
