Here\u2019s what\u2019s open and closed:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Open:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On city-designated holidays, downtown parking is free for on-street parking, in some city-owned garages and in city-owned surface lots.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">GoDurham and GoDurham ACCESS will offer holiday service on most routes with the exception of Wednesday, Dec. 25. On Tuesday, Dec. 24, service ends at 7 p.m. GoDurham and GoDurham Access will operate Sunday-level service on Wednesday, Jan. 1.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All three county solid waste and recycling convenience sites will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, through Thursday, Dec. 26, and on Wednesday, Jan. 1.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Durham County Sheriff\u2019s Office patrol division<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">County roadside recycling normally does not operate on Wednesdays, so the recycling schedule will not be impacted by the holidays.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Water Management Department\u2019s after-hours emergency number, 919-560-4344, which will dispatch on-call crews for water main break and sewer overflows.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Closed:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">City offices, including City Hall<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Most Durham County offices<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All Durham County Library locations will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 24, through Thursday, Dec. 26. Library locations will also close at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and will remain closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Durham County Department of Public Health<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Durham County Department of Social Services<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Durham County Sheriff\u2019s Administration and Records Division will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, through Thursday, Dec. 26, and on Wednesday, Jan. 1.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Durham County Cooperative Extension, including the Welcome Baby Giving Closet<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">City curbside collections for garbage, recycling, and yard waste will be delayed by one business day beginning Wednesday, Dec. 25, through at least the first full week of January.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The city\u2019s Waste Disposal and Recycling Center, Yard Waste Facility and the Household Hazardous Waste Center will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24, Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Durham Parks and Recreation administrative office, recreation centers, rental facilities and indoor pools will be closed Monday, Dec. 23, through Wednesday Dec. 26.
