The Durham City-County Planning Department is accepting applications for its 2024 Planning Academy. This free course is open to 50 residents.<\/span><\/p>\n The Planning Academy is designed to help residents learn about the planning process and how they can make a difference in local development. The program will include workshops and networking opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n Attendees will learn how to shape the future of Durham and its neighborhoods. Planning staff and community experts will lead these sessions. Residents who are unable to attend the program in person can still stay involved by signing up for the Planning Public Notification Service or the ENGAGEDurham newsletter.<\/span><\/p>\n The application deadline for the academy is Friday, Oct. 11. The program will take place on Friday, Nov. 15, from 5 pm to 8 pm, and Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 am to 4:30 pm, at the Durham County Main Library. A light breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided both days.<\/span><\/p>\n
