Photo by Henry Haggart<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>That&#8217;s the sizable development that recently transformed a vacant wedge of land off Durham-Chapel Hill Boulevard into a spot to live, shop and dine.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, local and visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/uhillwalls.com\/artists\/\">artists<\/a> coated much of it with murals. Works cover 40,000-square-feet over 15 acres, developer Hawthorne Retail Partners <a href=\"https:\/\/uhillwalls.com\/\">reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4136\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4136\" style=\"width: 2560px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4136 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.duke.edu\/9thstreetjournal\/files\/2020\/10\/200930_UHillsMurals_HenryHaggart5-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1470\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4136\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Where flower power meets a toothy smiley face, a tiger and much more.
