In an effort to help Spanish and English speakers become bilingual, Lakewood Elementary School has launched a dual-language immersion class.<\/p>\n
Students will learn all subjects in both languages over six years. They start with Spanish and then add more English into their school days.<\/p>\n
The hope is that this helps with academic success as well as cultural understanding and connection among the children and their families.<\/p>\n
