Capturing life in quarantine

Many of us spent the worst of the pandemic huddled in our houses with little outside contact.  Living each day in isolation with few other humans — it could feel like living on a spaceship.  At least that’s how it felt to Mark Cunningham and Bryan Crabtree.

The bartenders-turned-muralists capture that unmoored, claustrophobic moment in a mural that decorates the brick building at 618 Foster Street.

Our reporter Elise Hammond spoke with Cunningham and Crabtree about what inspired their meticulous, vibrant work, and what’s in store for it in the months ahead. Find her story here.
